The modern workforce has transformed. According to the 2025 State of Network Access Report (a survey of over 400 IT/security professionals), over 60% of organizations are adopting hybrid or fully remote work models. Businesses are also seeking cutting-edge solutions to manage network security and connectivity. This shift has placed Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) at the forefront of IT strategies, yet many organizations face significant hurdles in adopting and managing these frameworks.

According to the report, only 8% of organizations have fully implemented SASE solutions. However, adoption is accelerating, with 32% currently in progress and 24% planning implementation in the next 12 months. Despite this momentum, IT teams are confronting challenges in integrating new solutions, managing policies across environments, and maintaining robust expertise in-house.

MSSPs: The Key to Seamless SASE Management

For many businesses, partnering with a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) allows you to rely on third party expertise if your team requires assistance with the integration, deployment, and management of an SSE/SASE solution. The survey revealed that nearly half of respondents view MSSPs as instrumental in simplifying the management of security services.

MSSPs provide:

  • Expertise at Scale: With 47% of organizations citing a lack of in-house skills, MSSPs bring specialized knowledge to deploy and optimize SASE solutions efficiently.
  • Simplified Operations: Managing security policies across hybrid environments can be daunting. MSSPs streamline this process, reducing overhead for IT teams.
  • Rapid Deployment: MSSPs help organizations overcome integration hurdles, ensuring faster time-to-value for new security architectures.

Case for SASE in a Distributed World

Hybrid work has redefined the security landscape. Organizations must now protect an increasingly distributed workforce while ensuring seamless connectivity. SASE delivers on this promise by unifying security and network access, however successful adoption requires alignment with real-world challenges.

The survey highlights key drivers for SASE adoption:

  • Secure Remote and Hybrid Access: Top priority for 51% of respondents.
  • Enhanced Cloud Security: Critical for 46% of organizations.
  • Simplified Security Management: A motivator for 47%, especially in complex environments.

As traditional VPNs and perimeter-based security models falter, MSSPs offer a lifeline to ensure SASE solutions meet their full potential—enabling businesses to focus on innovation rather than infrastructure.

The need for secure, scalable, and seamless connectivity has never been greater. MSSPs are proving to be invaluable partners in the journey toward a SASE-enabled future. With expert guidance, tailored solutions, and a commitment to business performance, MSSPs empower businesses to embrace innovation and safeguard their networks.
